Content Policy

What you can post on Charfeed, what's not allowed, and what happens if something crosses the line.

Charfeed is a home for digital characters — AI-generated, illustrated, 3D-rendered, and VTuber avatars. We're building a platform where independent creators can share their work and earn from an audience that genuinely loves fictional characters.

This policy explains what you can post on Charfeed, what's not allowed, and what happens if something crosses the line. It applies to everyone who uses Charfeed — creators, subscribers, and everyone in between.

If a rule feels unclear, reach out at support@charfeed.com. We'd rather answer a question than remove a post.

What Charfeed is for

Charfeed is built for fictional digital characters. Original characters, designed and owned by the creators who bring them to life. That means:

  • AI-generated characters with trained models or diffusion pipelines
  • Hand-drawn characters, digital or traditional
  • 3D-rendered characters built in Blender, Daz, VRoid, or similar tools
  • VTuber avatars, Live2D or 3D rigs
  • Any other original character you create from scratch

The key word is original. Characters you designed, models you trained, avatars you rigged.

Content ratings on Charfeed

Charfeed currently supports two content ratings. Both are welcome, both are monetizable, both appear in the main feed.

SFW (safe for work)

General-audience content. Anything you'd post on Instagram or share in a mixed-company setting.

Examples of SFW content:

  • Character portraits, scenes, and storytelling posts
  • Process shots, behind-the-scenes, speedpaints
  • Fashion, outfit design, concept art
  • Everyday scenes — characters at cafes, traveling, reading, gaming
  • Fantasy, sci-fi, slice-of-life — any genre, as long as imagery stays general-audience

Suggestive

Content that leans into sensuality without crossing into explicit territory. Think swimwear photoshoots, lingerie editorials, or pinup-style poses.

Examples of what counts as suggestive:

  • Swimwear, beachwear, gym wear
  • Lingerie and sleepwear, with full coverage
  • Suggestive poses that remain non-explicit
  • Romantic scenes between characters (kissing, embracing, non-explicit intimacy)
  • Artistic nudity in a clearly non-sexual context (art-reference poses, classical figure study)

Examples of what does NOT count as suggestive (and is not allowed):

  • Visible genitalia, nipples, or sexual acts
  • Sexual acts implied or in-progress
  • Content focused on sexual arousal
  • Anything meant to function as pornography

What's not allowed

Charfeed does not permit any of the following. Posting any of it is grounds for immediate removal, payout freeze, and account termination.

Explicit and adult content

  • Nudity showing genitalia, anus, or female nipples
  • Sexual acts, penetration, masturbation (implied or depicted)
  • Content depicting minors in any romantic, suggestive, or sexual context — this includes fictional characters drawn to appear as minors
  • Pornographic writing, audio, or video
  • Links or redirects to adult content hosted elsewhere

Content involving minors

Charfeed has zero tolerance for content that sexualizes minors, real or fictional. Characters depicted as under 18 may not be posed, dressed, or contextualized in any suggestive or sexual manner. This applies regardless of stated age, narrative framing, or artistic intent.

Violations are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement where required.

Real people without consent

  • Photographs or likeness of real people used without their consent
  • AI-generated content depicting real, identifiable people (celebrities, public figures, or private individuals)
  • Deepfakes, face swaps, or digital manipulation of real people
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery of any kind

Charfeed is for fictional characters. If your character resembles a real person by accident, that's usually fine. If you're intentionally recreating a real person, it's not.

Violence and harm

  • Graphic violence, gore, mutilation, or torture
  • Content glorifying or encouraging real-world violence
  • Content depicting self-harm or suicide in a way that could encourage it
  • Animal cruelty or abuse

Hate and harassment

  • Slurs, hate speech, or dehumanizing content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar attributes
  • Harassment, stalking, or coordinated attacks on individuals
  • Content promoting violence against specific groups
  • Nazi, white supremacist, or other extremist symbology used in support of the ideology

Illegal content and activity

  • Content depicting illegal activity in a way that promotes or enables it
  • Sale of illegal goods or services
  • Instructions for building weapons, synthesizing drugs, or committing fraud
  • Piracy — distributing copyrighted material you don't own or have permission to use

Impersonation and deception

  • Pretending to be another creator or platform
  • Claiming ownership of characters, styles, or content you didn't create
  • Fake engagement — bought followers, bot likes, coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Scams, phishing, or fraudulent offers

Spam and platform abuse

  • Repetitive posts, mass-posted content, or off-topic spam
  • Using the platform to drive traffic to unrelated external services
  • Circumventing rate limits, content filters, or account restrictions
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade bans

Offers inside AI chats

Characters on Charfeed can hold one-on-one AI chat conversations with subscribers. During those conversations, a character's chat agent may propose paid actions that are available anywhere else on the platform: subscribing to a tier, unlocking a specific premium post, tipping, or buying a paid DM. Offers appear as inline cards in the chat; payment is processed by Stripe without leaving the conversation.

The platform enforces the following limits on in-chat offers, and creators cannot relax them:

  • No offers in the first few messages of a new conversation.
  • A minimum cooldown between consecutive offers in the same session.
  • A hard daily cap on offers shown to the same subscriber by the same character.
  • After a subscriber declines an offer, new offers in that session are blocked for a cooldown period.
  • Every subscriber can enable "fewer offers" — globally or per character — in chat preferences. When enabled, the daily cap drops further and the session cap goes to zero after one decline.
  • Offer copy may not include fake countdowns, fake stock counts, fake social-proof ("X other people just bought"), or shaming language. A server-side classifier rejects offers that cross these lines before the subscriber ever sees them.

Creators choose which offer kinds their character can propose (tier subscribe, post unlock, tip, paid DM) and may pick between three aggressiveness levels within the daily cap. They cannot override the guardrails above. The goal is durable subscriber relationships, not short-term extraction.

Chat revenue appears separately in the creator dashboard so creators can see what their character offered, what converted, and what did not — without any of the dark-pattern levers that would be available on unregulated surfaces.

How we enforce this

Every image uploaded to Charfeed runs through automated content moderation (Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch for images, Cloud Natural Language for captions, bios, comments, and chat). Flagged content goes to human review. Users can also report content directly from any post.

When something violates this policy, we take action at one of these levels, depending on severity:

  1. Content removal — the post comes down, creator is notified
  2. Content warning — formal notice placed on account
  3. Monetization freeze — ability to receive subscriptions, tips, or payouts is paused while under review
  4. Account suspension — temporary loss of platform access
  5. Permanent ban and payout forfeiture — reserved for severe or repeated violations, including anything involving minors

Appeals are handled by emailing support@charfeed.com. We respond within 5 business days.

Reporting content

If you see something that violates this policy, report it using the report button on any post. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours in most cases.

For urgent concerns — content involving minors, threats of violence, imminent harm — or for other content questions, email support@charfeed.com. Urgent reports are prioritized.

Policy changes

We update this policy as the platform grows. Significant changes are announced by email to all creators at least 14 days before taking effect. Minor clarifications may be published without notice.

This document was last updated on the date shown at the top.
